The Museum of the Battle and of Anghiari preserves the memory of the historical event and the lost work of Leonardo da Vinci and houses a collection of artifacts and artworks from the Middle Paleolithic to the contemporary age.
REOPENING
After almost a year of work supported by the Ministry of Culture’s M1C3.3 inv. 1.2 program "removal of physical and cognitive barriers in museums, libraries, and archives to allow broader access and participation in culture" funded by the European Union - Next GenerationEU, the museum reopens its doors to the public.

Colonna Room
Here are exhibited some contemporary art pieces from the Museum's collection. These works are closely linked to Anghiari and, even more so, to the Battle, specifically created by some artists and donated to the Museum by them.

Battle Room
Here are displayed objects and memorabilia that recall the historic event of June 29, 1440, when the Florentines defeated the Milanese under the walls of Anghiari. In addition, the site-specific work by Roberto Paci Dalò transports the observer to the heart of the battle through the use of audio and video technologies.
Maddalena Room
The room is named after the painting depicting the Penitent Magdalene, displayed here, created by Francesco Morosini, known as "Il Montepulciano," in the 1630s.
Anghiari Room
